From 17/4/2025 to 24/4/2025, 29 S5 students and 2 of our teachers embarked on an exciting Geography Study Trip to Xinjiang. Sponsored by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau of the Hong Kong Government under the Funding Scheme for Youth Exchange in the Mainland, this trip provided a unique opportunity for students to explore geographical and social development issues in Northwest China.
During the trip, students visited prominent locations such as Shihezi University, Xinjiang Bayi Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., a dairy farm, a vineyard, and the Desert Botanical Garden. They also explored museums and various cultural and historical sites, gaining insights into the region’s diverse heritage and rapid development.
The study trip not only deepened students’ understanding of geographical issues but also broadened their horizons, allowing them to experience firsthand the economic and social progress of Xinjiang. This invaluable learning experience enhanced their knowledge of Northwest China’s development and fostered a greater appreciation for the region’s unique cultural and environmental characteristics.
