Minoan Robotsports Competition (MRC)

A Journey of Innovation and Culture: Our Students Excel at the Minoan Robotsports Competition in Greece! 🇬🇷🤖

We are thrilled to announce that four of our students have successfully completed the Minoan Robotsports Competition (MRC) held on the beautiful island of Crete, Greece! 🏆

The Pinnacle of European Robotics ⚙️💻

As Europe’s largest robotics Olympiad, the MRC is a prestigious event that merges STEAM, coding, automation, and mechanical engineering. With categories ranging from high-speed drone racing and robot sumo to creative exhibitions, the competition challenged our students to push their technical boundaries while emphasizing the significance of teamwork and innovation capacity. 🚀

A Journey of Innovation And Culture 🏛️✨

Before the competition kicked off, our students explored the “Cradle of Western Civilization” to gain some deeper insights into history and culture. Their journey included:

  • The Parthenon in Athens: Marvelling at the legendary landmark of ancient architecture. 🏛️

  • Kritsa Village: Stepping back in time in one of Crete’s oldest and most traditional villages. 🏘️📜

These visits allowed our team to do more than just showcase their STEAM talents; they immersed themselves in Greece’s rich cultural heritage and mythological charm. It was a profound experience that bridged the gap between cutting-edge technology and ancient human history. 🏺🛰️

Celebrating Hard Work and Success 🌟👏

Months of rigorous training and dedication culminated in a brilliant performance on the international stage. Our four representatives showcased their skills with pride, showing the world the strength of our school’s STEAM spirit!

Please join us in giving them a massive round of applause for their diligence and excellence. We couldn’t be more proud of their achievements! 🥳🎉

Well done, team Laptiles! 🎈
