An Eye-opener for Holapians
On 18 October 2025, the Sustainable Development Committee led a group of enthusiastic Holapians to an intercultural fair organized by AFS Hong Kong, an event that truly broadened their horizons in cultures and languages. Immersed in a lively atmosphere, our students seized the golden opportunity to mingle with exchange students from 16 diverse countries, including France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Slovakia, Turkey, Mexico, and Venezuela. Through participating in an array of interactive games and cultural booths, they explored a spectrum of customs and traditions while gaining confidence in using English as a lingua franca to connect with peers from around the world. Beyond that, students teamed up to compete in such friendly contests as Kahoot! and quiz challenges, sharpening their teamwork, coordination, and communication skills along the way. The event proved to be not only energetic and memorable but also deeply enlightening. It inspired our students to unlock their potential, embrace cultural diversity, and nurture a stronger sense of global citizenship.
