S2 Students Visited M+ Museum

The S2 students visited M+ Museum on 2 July (Thu) to take part in “What is Visual Culture?” exhibition.

In this activity, there was no guided tour; instead, the session began with an introduction. M+ educators selected key exhibition highlights, shared interesting “did-you-know” facts, and encouraged students to imagine their own gallery routes based on personal preferences, helping them develop a more personal and meaningful way of viewing.

The activity then proceeded to interactive stations. Educators set up booths across different galleries, and students used smart phones to engage in hands-on experiences, enabling them to explore the M+ collections freely in a fun and thought-provoking learning environment.

In the final stage, students shared their views on visual culture exhibits and extended the discussion to important issues. By approaching new experiences through the lens of visual culture, students gained a different perspective, broadened their horizons, and strengthened their visual literacy.
